WAYS & MEANS

The Ways and Means committee is the part of AFSCME local 1224 that is responsible for sending cards to our members who are off workd due to illness for five days or more.  The committee would also like to know when our members have babies, get married, achieve a special accomplishment, or any other good thing that would be a cause for a card of congratulations.

The committee sends keepsake bibles in many denominations (including non-religious memory books) to our members if they lose a member of their immediate family (spouse, parent, step-parent, sibling, or step-sibling) or to the member's family if the member passes away.

There are many members wanting the Local to contribute money to their favorite organizations.  All requests should go through the Ways and Means Committee to review, take to the e-board and then the Membership for approval.

When you know of anyone who you think may qualify for any of the above situations, please contact any member of the Committee by phone or email.
